Habe bei Ebay etwas gefunden, was mir doch ein wenig zu Denken gibt.
Mal abgesehen vom Erlaubten, würde ich eh nur auf die weiße Variante
zurückgreifen.
Jedoch finde ich die Bauanleitung ein wenig :gruebel: abendteuerlich.
Stehen dort doch 2 Arbeitsschritte, wo man seinem nicht grad preiswerten Scheinwerfer in die Backröhr schieben soll.
Ich verstehe dazu aber nicht ganz den Sinn. Wird damit ein Kleber
weich gemacht, der Kunststoff und Glas verbindet :gruebel: wobei ich
mir eigendlich sicher bin, das die RN12 kein Glas hat, sondern nur Kunstglas.
Jemand dazu vieleicht eine Idee oder solch einer Umwandlung beigewohnt :iswas:
Anleitung:
1. Remove Wind Screen
2. Remove Mirrors
3. Remove Right Mid-Faring
4. Remove Left Mid-Faring
5. Remove Left and Right Cover (See Picture Below)
6. Remove black plastic on Left side below Ram Air Intake
7. Remove Left Ram Air Duct
8. Remove black plastic on Right side below Ram Air Intake
9. Remove Right Ram Air Duct
10. Remove front facial cowl
11. Remove Screw that holds headlight wires in place (See Picture Below)
12. Un-connect all connections (headlights and parking lights)
13. Remove Left headlight assembly
14. Remove Right headlight assembly
15. Pre-heat oven to 250 degrees
16. Remove headlight bulb and rubber grommet from both Right and Left headlight assemblies
17. Place first headlight assembly on baking sheet and bake for 6-8 minutes
18. Carefully unclip and pull apart headlight assembly
19. Repeat steps 16 and 17 for second headlight assembly
20. Super glue Angel Eyes Grooved Side Down as shown for over the low beam in the headlight assembly. Make sure wire goes over bolt.
21. Drill hole using ¼ drill bit as shown for high beam assembly (picture shows a notch, drill hole where notch is shown). Make sure wires for Angel Eyes will be parallel to each other.
22. Super glue Angel Eye with wires going through hole and a spot of glue at bottom of Angel eye to adhere it to the headlight assembly
23. Run wires from low beam Angel Eye under bolt
24. Run both sets of wires through back of headlight. Cut and splice wires. Connect red to red and solder together, then black to black and solder together. (see Picture Below)
25. Use electrical tape to cover the soldering point of each set of wires then tape both sets of wires together.
26. Drill hole as seen below and feed wires through.
27. Connect wires with connecters as seen in the picture below (or you may solder the wires). On the Right headlight assembly connect red wire (Positive) to the Top wire of the parking light and black wire (Negative) to the Bottom wire of the parking light. On the Left headlight assembly connect the red wire to the bottom wire of the parking light and the black wire to the Top wire of the parking light.
28. Pre-heat oven to 250 degrees
29. Put headlight and lens in oven for 5-7 minutes.
30. Reassemble lens and housing using pliers around the edge to crimp together.
31. Re-assemble bike by reversing steps 1 through 14
32. Send a picture of your finished product to if you are able to. Thank you and
